Inverness and District MCC

The IDMCC will be hosting a trials round at woodside on the 18th of January so it is requested that no crosser or enduro riders attempt to use the track or any adjacent ground. IDMCC will be in charge of the whole area while thier trial is underway.

The track will be closed to members riding from Friday evening.

Monthly Club Meeting

The normal monthly meeting on the first Monday of the month will be held in the Spey room within the Laichmoray Hotel, masonduie road, Elgin.

STOLEN CRF250 FROM FORRES

The other night my bike was stolen from my house in forres on tuesday morning in the early hours of the morning.

Around 1am and 4am 19/08/2008 some one broke in to my shed and stole my honda crf250 twin pipe 2006 motocross bike. It has easy to spot RED radiator pipes and the twin pipe exhaust system only motocross bike made with twin exhaust pipes. A generous reward will be given if info is given in which results in the bikes return.

The bike was my pride and joy it was all that ever went through my head and i find it sick that some one showed up and took . what was basicly my life away from me. so please give any info. contact on 07938380086-----01309 674056

GATES TO BE CLOSED.

Unfortunatly due to more used needles being found within the carpark area amongst other reasons the desicion has been made to ensure the gates are kept closed.

Keys will be handed out to club members at the next meeting on the 27th of April.We would appriciate if you all close the gate when leaving the track irrelevent of who is still within the confines of the track if they are members and for whatever reasons don't have a key then they will have a number for someone who has a key.

This is very regrettable but the committee feel there is no other alternative.

      British Enduro Championship

The 2nd round of the Metzeler British Enduro Championship took place at Lossiemouth this weekend in a return to wintery conditions. Championship leader Tom Sagar was still recovering from the heavy fall that put him out of last weekend WEC round in Sweden & in such a closely contested competition Paul Edmondson was primed to take the first day. Tom was the runner up. Daryl Bolter was 3rd & Greg Evans was 4th. Greg won the first test of the day but lost time on the last test when he crashed & he got sand blocked his fuel pipe. Greg won the first test on the second day but his chain snapped & he dropped 20 minutes to end a weekend of cruel weather & cruel fortune. Tom won day 2 from Paul with Simon Wakely taking 3rd.

NESC 2008 
Clubs hosting the rounds had a meeting on Saturday at the Grant Arms Public house, Fochabers to discuss the North East of Scotland Championship along with Buchan Offroad and Aberdeen & District (No Highland reps turned up).
 
The first round is on 2 March 2008 at Woodside, the second round is on 25 May 2008 at Highland, the third round is on 1 June 2008 at Buchan Offroad and the final round is on 6 July 2008 at Rhynie.
 
Transponders are not required as Buchan Offroad do not have the timing gear.  There will be £5.00 extra added to each entry on the day to pay for the trophies at the end of the year.  If any riders does not wish to participate in the North East of Scotland Championship then they will get a cross against their name for lapscoring.  The timing gear can still be used but the champsionship will be lapscored for anyone who does not own a transponderl.
 
A rider can participate in the championship as long as the rider is a member of one of the clubs mentioned above.
 
The presentation is going to be held in the Laichmoray Hotel, Elgin on Saturday 8 November 2008, as well as the Grampian Motorcycle Championship Presentation.
 
There will be no trophies handed out on the day for the North East of Scotland Championship as it is a club round as well, trophies will be handed out at the Presentation.  The trophies will be given out 1st to 6th place.

Grid reference for track

It was suggested at the meeting last night that it would be handy for folk to have the exact reference for Woodside as the last few times an abulance has been needed they've had trouble locating the track,(seemingly they cant follow orange arrows on roundabouts), so why not stick it in your mobile or run outside and write it on your sun visor in the motor.

Thank you very much to all crosser riders who accepted that the track was shut for IDMCC to host their final round of their 2006 championship last Sunday (19/11/06), this is greatly appriciated by all involved and helps greatly with various safety issues.

CRF 450 STOLEN 17/11

2003 Honda CRF 450 was stolen from Around Westhill Area (Aberdeenshire) on friday night.

The bike is easily spotted. 03 with new 04 Plastics. Akroprovic Pipe, New Black Excel Wheels with Red Hubs. see photo below.

 

Please keep your eye's open for the bike or any parts you may be offered, It's probably being abused by some minkers in town already but any info or sightings would be appriciated, Please let me know by emailing (RSturbovan@hotmail.com).... this was the owners Pride & Joy.
